Project Overview
A 668-horsepower sedan isn’t something you want to baby, so the owner of this 2026 CT5-V Blackwing brought it to Tier 1 Tint Wraps PPF to get it fully protected before putting real miles on it. We covered the whole car in paint protection film, tinted it with XPEL XR Plus, and finished it with a ceramic coating.
The Blackwing has a wide, aggressive front end that sits low and catches everything the freeway throws at it, so full body PPF made sense from the start. We wrapped every painted panel, tucking the edges wherever possible so the film disappears on the car. Once the film was down, we coated everything on top of it. The paint now has a deeper gloss, water sheets right off, and the dust that settles on everything in Vegas wipes away much more easily.
For tint, we went with XPEL XR Plus at 20% on the windows for a darker, cleaner look, plus a 70% XR Plus film on the windshield. That windshield film is nearly invisible from the driver’s seat, but it cuts a surprising amount of heat coming through the biggest piece of glass on the car, which makes a real difference in a Las Vegas summer.

We confirm the package coverage and prepare the film patterns for the vehicle's panels.
Paint Correction, If Needed
If the paint needs correction, we address it before installation so existing imperfections aren't sealed beneath the film.
PPF Installation
We position and apply the film panel by panel, carefully working it around the vehicle's contours for a smooth, consistent finish.
Edge Finishing & Detailing
We finish the film edges and detail the protected areas, wrapping edges where the panel and installation allow.
Quality Inspection
We inspect the installation for alignment, coverage, and finish, then review the care instructions with the customer.
